Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare at Covenant Treatment Center provides comfort, support, and information to cancer patients and their families. Educational programs, resource information, and counseling services are conveniently provided within the Center to meet the individuals total needs.
Counseling Support
Cancer patients and family members often need help dealing with the emotional aspects of the disease. Through facts, encouragement, and understanding, they quickly learn they are not alone in facing the challenge of living with cancer. A social worker, support groups and educational programs help entire families cope with concerns and questions regarding cancer. Support groups include "Care and Share," and "I Can Cope"
Breast Cancer Support Group - Touch of Courage
Covenant's Cancer Treatment Center offers Touch of Courage , a support group designed for breast cancer patients. Touch of Courage is designed to assist women dealing with breast cancer through emotional support and education. The group meets the first Monday of each month at 1:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. in Room 1 of the Kimball Ridge Center, 2101 Kimball Avenue, Waterloo. Sessions are free of charge to all participants. Cancer Support Group - Care and Share
Covenant's Cancer Treatment Center offers Care and Share , a support group for individuals, families and friends who are coping with a cancer diagnosis. Care and Share is offered the first Tuesday of each month at 1:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. at the Cancer Treatment Center, 200 East Ridgeway, Waterloo.
